How does selling gold by mail work?
Get a free quote with our live calculator or from photos. We email you a prepaid shipping label. When your package arrives, we open, weigh and test it on recorded video and send you a firm offer. Accept it and you are paid the same day. Decline it and we ship your items back free.
How is my offer calculated?
Weight × purity × the live spot price gives the melt value. Our minimum offer is 70% of melt value when you start from the calculator, and most sellers receive more. The full formula is on our How Offers Work page.
Do I have to accept the offer?
No. There is no obligation and no fee. If you decline, we return your items at no cost to you.
How do I get paid?
By Zelle or ACH bank transfer, sent the same day you accept your offer.
Is my package protected?
Yes. Every package travels with tracking on the prepaid label we send you, and we record the unboxing and testing of every package on video so you can see exactly what we received.
Do you buy from every state?
We buy gold and silver from sellers across the United States. Get a free quote and we will email you a prepaid label wherever you are.

How long does the whole process take?
Most sellers are paid within a few days. Quotes usually go out within one business day, your label arrives by email within one business day of accepting, and we test your package the day it arrives.
Who pays for shipping?
We do. Your label is prepaid, and if you decline your final offer we ship your items back at no cost.
How should I pack my items?
Put small pieces in a zip bag, wrap the bag in paper or bubble wrap, and use a small sturdy box. Do not write “gold” or “jewelry” on the outside. Keep your drop-off receipt.
What if my items weigh less or test lower than I expected?
Your final offer is based on what we measure on video. If it differs from your estimate, we show you why on the video and send an updated offer. You can accept it or have your items returned free.
Do I need a printer?
Yes, you’ll print the prepaid label we email you on plain paper. Don’t have a printer? Reply to the label email and we’ll help.
Do you need my ID?
Yes. Federal anti-money-laundering rules require us to verify the identity of sellers before we pay. We ask for a photo of your ID before your payout.
Is there any fee?
No. Quotes, shipping both ways and payouts are free. The price we offer is the amount you receive.
What if I don’t accept the final offer?
We ship your items back at no cost, fully tracked.
How long is an offer open?
Quotes from photos are open for 24 hours because gold prices move. Once accepted, your price holds if your package ships within 7 days.
