Terms of service

These terms apply when you use this website or send items to The Gold Payout (“The Gold Payout”).

Estimates and quotes

Calculator results are estimates based on the information you enter and the spot price at that moment. Photo quotes are based on your photos, the weight and purity you report and the spot price when we make the offer.

Offers

An offer is open for the time stated on your offer page. Once you accept, the price is held provided we receive your item within 7 days. When we have your item we confirm its weight and purity. If either differs meaningfully from what was reported, we recalculate using the same payout percentage, and you may accept the new amount or have your item returned or handed back at no cost.

Minimum offer

When you request a quote through our calculator, we will offer at least 70% of the melt value of your items as we measure it. Our offer on any item is never below 60% of measured melt value.

Ownership

You confirm that you own the items you send, that they are not stolen or subject to any claim, and that you are at least 18 years old.

Shipping and returns

We provide a prepaid, tracked shipping label. If you decline your final offer, we return your items at no cost to you.

Identification

We must verify your identity before paying, and may decline any transaction we cannot verify.

Shipping coverage

Any insurance coverage included with your prepaid label is stated in the email that delivers your label. Contact us before shipping larger amounts so we can arrange appropriate coverage.
