This policy explains what The Gold Payout (“The Gold Payout”, “we”) collects and how we use it.

What we collect

When you request a quote we collect your name, email, phone number, city, state and ZIP, the photos you upload and what you tell us about your items. If you accept an offer we collect a shipping address for your prepaid shipping label. Photos are resized on your device before upload, which removes location data, and are only seen by our team. When you sell, we also collect identification and payment details required by law. Our website records basic technical data such as IP address and browser type to prevent abuse.

How we use it

To prepare your quote, arrange shipping or a meeting, process and pay for your items, contact you about your order, meet legal recordkeeping and anti-money-laundering obligations, and prevent fraud. We do not sell your personal information.

Sharing

We share information only with service providers that help us operate, such as shipping carriers, payment processors and email providers, and with authorities when the law requires it.

Retention

We keep transaction records for as long as federal and state law requires, then delete them.

You can ask us to access, correct or delete your information, subject to legal retention requirements, by emailing hello@thegoldpayout.com.

Calculator and cookies

The calculator saves the last price it downloaded in your browser so it loads quickly. It does not save the weights you enter.
